They work similar to groups in Notion, just the name is different. When you start up a project, it is a board already. Status is a select property, while Tags is multi-select property. It must be either multi-select, or select. Whether it’s Tags or Status, they are properties. It’s not a default property that comes with the board database. However for their features, there are still a few differences. The reason why I’m going to compare the two is that how they display tasks in projects is quite similar. For Notion, you can upload unlimited file size by just paying $4 USD per month. Or if you regularly need to upload larger files, you’ll may need to upgrade. If you really need one of them, then you’ll need to pay the monthly subscription. For casual users, these functions are not that necessary. The paid versions are mainly for business users. ![]() Normally, the free version of Trello should be adequate. If you need to work on many projects at the same time, only having 10 boards may be a bit annoying. On the other hand, the major limitation of the free version of Trello is the maximum number of boards users can open up to. A large image can easily get over 5MB, not to mention about videos or other media files.
